As we set high standards regarding our training program, Hapag-Lloyd also bears the costs for seminars and takes over the organisation. As a matter of course we offer trainings that exceed the mandatory STCW trainings. Our more than 100 apprentices are trained on our vessels under the German Flag for our own demand. For our excellent training program we have been awarded as the first German shipping company by the Berufsbildungsstelle Seeschifffahrt e. V.. The salary is according to the current HTV-See (Heuertarifvertrag-See = Full German social security contributions, remuneration according to the German seaman's wage agreement).
