March 25. Acting Dean of Students Cary Dresher denies right to peaceful protest. /u/saveourunion shares the letter received in response to students' petition to stage a protest at the Town Hall Meeting. Dean Dresher later rejects their appeal to protest at an alternative location. /u/throwaway_flourine shares a loophole, as Professor Puka announces he will hold his Ethics class outside of EMPAC on March 30 from 2-4 pm and invites the community to attend what may turn out to be something like a peaceful demonstration. Puka notes, "This announcement I made will provide a VERY THIN shield of legitimacy for students who wish to have their opinions expressed in the manner that the organized protest would have. Now it can be argued that they are merely part of faculty led teach-ins. " March 26. Now that some sort of activity-like-a-protest is definitely happening, reddit discussion turns to specific demands and strategies. Alumni ask how they can help. Word continues to spread through Facebook groups such as Overheard at RPI and the Rensselaer Alumni Association LinkedIn group.

I applied to this awesome, new non-profit, and got the interview! I did a bit of research about what they do, what the founders are known for, and liked what I saw. I saw the photo of the president (Communal Narc), and here it was. a small voice in my gut saying "this is a problem". I ignored it, after all I haven't even met that person yet, it wasn't right to judge. All I saw were photos of her posing for professional photos. I should have spied on social media because it would have been clear. But I didn't, I was excited about the opportunity, I wasn't going to report to her anyway, and I got the job! Everything was going great despite a few very small red flags that I ignored. This was a new, small 10 people organization, our team was "the originals". What followed was a year of constant criticism, micro-managing, shaming, belittling. These caused my anxiety that had a huge impact on my performance, which prompted more criticism etc. They end up letting me go, after trying to get me to quit.
