Now that I've got NI's blessing, I'll be starting some development streams on twitch using the new Community Edition Beta over at (The person who responded to my email seemed rather excited about someone streaming the CE Beta which was super cool! ). To share in NI's efforts of opening up the platform to a larger community I'm going to start streaming and developing open source libraries for others to use and I'll also be working on doing some live-ish tutoring in LabVIEW. In my streams you can expect to see a lot of By-Reference class implementations (broken-ish data-flow all over! ) and complete avoidance of Actor Framework. I don't really have too much against AF, I've just never used it and prefer my way of accomplishing parallel tasks. I'm excited to start tinkering with Interfaces that will be available in LV 2020 though I'll mostly stick to my old methods of VI reference callbacks to support previous versions of LabVIEW and be able to use the stuff I develop on stream at my job!
Edit: Couple of things I wanna address based on comments. PIP means firing - like I said in most cases it is, so based on your duration you can just notice how people are reacting and if you don't see them reacting positively, it's better to search for jobs. I wrote this post because it helped me succeed at the time because finding a job was way harder than trying to retain one due to timing PIP is confidential - I'm glad that most of y'all said it cuz I had no idea. Because personally it wasn't more like people figured out due to my poor performance, more like gossip between manager and colleagues, and it just made me feel worse because it's already embarrassing to be put in the plan and later find out your colleagues know about it too was just hard to hear. One thing I totally agree is even if you do pass this PIP, you're definitely on the list. Some companies just fire you for any reason using PIP failure as an excuse. You'll most likely never get good raises or promotions, nothing you can do turn it around so don't waste your time and energy, leave the firm as soon as possible if you've managed to pull through PIP.

Many international students wonder if they can stay in the US after graduation — and yes, it is possible! Although your F-1 visa expires when you are no longer enrolled in college, there are ways new graduates can stay in the US to complete an internship or gain real-world experience. An Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension or STEM OPT extension to your F-1 visa can allow you to stay in the US legally after you graduate. Complex rules for international workers can make staying in the US seem difficult. However, the right F-1 visa extension can help. Keep reading to understand your options for F-1 visa and OPT extensions after graduation. How to Stay in the US Legally After Graduation One of the ways that students can stay in the US on an F-1 visa after graduation is with an OPT extension. The post-completion OPT allows recent graduates to work in the US for up to 12 months. Unlike curricular practical training (CPT), which must be completed while you are still enrolled at your college or university, OPT can be completed before or after graduation.

Therefore it goes without saying that the type of work you might be doing greatly depends on the type of ship you work on. Because the type of ship is largely determined by the type of fishery it works under, the jobs in this section have been split up by fishery. This is the best way to learn and understand the types of jobs available and in what manner you should best search for them. Perhaps the most groundbreaking in terms of the Alaskan fishing industry are the larger boats. Factory trawlers and longliners are the newest and fastest growing segment of Alaska fishing. These larger boats specialize mostly in groundfish (cod and sablefish for example) and employ hundreds of people with hundreds of different job titles. Deckhand positions, processors, cooks, medical care workers, engineers, fisherman and mechanics are all positions that can be found on these larger boats. Some of the less glamorous positions such as being an onboard processor represent a great opportunity for those new to the industry and eager to get a fishing job.
