It's not that nothing is happening in their life, but they haven't achieved anything. It's just going on with life ignoring that fact and not worrying about the expectations of doing something great and memorable. There are outside factors you aren't considering. Any person will have a job, and there will always be bad or hard parts to that job. Then certainly they would be dissatisfied and consider that things could be better for them. A better life requires goals to be reached. But when you reach them it's a never-ending climb and there's no time to just stay where you are. Things could always be better so what's wrong with being content where you are? I'm not implying that one always has to be working toward something. It's completely reasonable to take breaks and enjoy life how it is. But how are you going to get anywhere that makes you happy without achieving anything? You can be happy where you are. Simple as that, though not everyone's the same. And where exactly is someone who hasn't achieved anything?
